Music & Lyrics by Pigni It was Luca's idea to dig this from the vault; we had recorded some tracks of the song a few years ago as a possible contender for the second Mogador album, but once we decided for a concept story there wasn't place for it; actually it is a very old song of mine to which I wrote new lyrics and change around a bit some chords and the arrangement; I have always liked bossa nova and such artists as A.C. Jobim, Joao Gilberto, Gilberto Gil etc. so while the first part is quite jazzy for the remainder of the song we opted for a typical Brazilian shuffle…Luca's beautiful mellow guitar makes the whole tune a perfect song for making sex I believe, though once again the lyrics are a tribute to the spiritual love between the Indian philosopher Sri Aurobindo and his companion Mère and to their esoteric research of the life "beyond" the material world…so hopefully a nice way to wind up the album which is a little journey by itself anyway I suppose and "beyond" as final statement is positive I would hope. |
